Request Your Driving Record – California

Need a copy of your California driving record? All you need to do is to fill out a request form (INF 1125) and submit it to a local DMV office. You also need to present a valid proof of identity (e.g. birth certificate or passport). This transaction is not free, therefore, you have to settle the associated fees to complete your request.

You can also obtain a copy of the driving record of your family members, specifically your child and spouse. You must be able to present proof that you reside at the same address though.

Meanwhile, if you want to see and get a copy of your vehicle’s record, accomplish the INF 70 request form. Although available for public inspection, the full content of the document, particularly the confidential details, cannot be viewed by everyone. Only law enforcement authorities and the courts are given full access to the record.

Can’t go to a local DMV office? Do not worry since you can send your request via mail. Just make sure you accomplish the required forms.
