Tomorrows a chance

When
we first become teenagers all our attention is focused on wanting to
drive a car. As soon as we become old enough to take the written
test, we immediately get the book that teaches us all the rules of
the road. Hours are spent looking over the book and making sure
everything is locked in so we can pass that written test and drive
freely on the road.

When
I first started high school, I was in the car going home when we
pulled out of the school everything was going fine and me and my
sister where having a conversation but I didn’t notice she wasn’t
paying attention and went above the speed limit and rear ended a car
that suddenly stopped. No one was texting and driving and no one was
smoking or drinking at all, this accident occurred due to a speeding
problem if we can’t drive with our phones down and without alcohol
why do we think were qualified to text and drive?

Cute Instagram posts that let
everybody know what you’re up to, fun text messages from friends
and simple questions from your family that want to know where you
are, what you’re doing or just reminding you to be safe but of
course we can’t forget about all the pointless Facebook drama all
those things can be hard to ignore but also cause us to take our eyes
off the road. You could be going to hang out with your friends for
the day or get groceries it doesn’t matter because once you take
your eyes off the road anything can happen, traffic can be fine and
nothing will happen or you can hit the car in front of you causing a
major accident which is what happens too often. These accidents
happen to not only teens, but adults too, these accidents can be
reduced if Instagram, Facebook and snapchat came with blocks so you
couldn’t use them when you’re behind the wheel even simpler we
could turn our phones on silent or turn them completely off until we
get to where were going. That’s not very likely for us to do. When
our attention is on the road instead of our phone’s things can turn
out a little bit better for everyone. Remember tomorrow’s a chance
and not something to take for granted because anything can happen.
