Keeping each other safe on the road
Driving on the road is a privilege for everyone who has earned a license as it shows that the individual has studied and learned to drive safely on the road to protect each other I was told that when “we drive we don’t drive for ourselves we drive for each other” as we travel on one road and we all want to “arrive alive”.
Confidence: Having confidence is important as you trust yourself and other motorists. It helps you to drive under challenging situations on what to do from your training and understanding of the state road rules.
Responsibility: Having to take driver education is a responsibility on its own as it installs you to become aware of the consequences of the actions they take when they drive, and having the responsibility to be aware can help to avoid motor vehicle accidents as I was involved in an accident that wasn’t my fault which show even when people take precaution and plan their action can still happen if one doesn’t just follow a road rule.
In South Africa, before taking our driving test we have a first action to take before starting the car called the K-53 have to fasten our seatbelt, knowing our car which we check our rear-view mirrors and our blindside mirrors. This action helps those who want to take the driving test helps you to train your muscle memory and helps you to focus on your driving, this action helps you to create a memory on how to evaluate and make quick decisions on any situations that might arise.
While studying or learning various road rules we are taught the avoidance of alcohol which heavily impedes your evaluations when driving any vehicle you are taking and being intoxicated while operating a vehicle which will and always put you in trouble with the law as you are endangering other people privilege to drive on the road as the individual takes advantage of their privilege. The activity of taking these dangerous substances causes accidents, as your vision is impaired and you can perform incorrect actions in everyday situations the individual could cause harm even without knowing as they believe they are driving safely but the situation could be false as they have no proper vision to make correct decisions.
Being a polite driver or a defensive driver helps you to be considering of other drivers helps you to drive safe and driving at a safe speed and avoid tailgating other drivers people drive differently or have different preferences when driving as some have started driving some have needs that were taken before driving which helps everyone to be safe when driving on the busy street in the CBD (Central Business Districts) or freeway roads.
Studying road rules or signs is a great exercise that helps the motorist’s memory or the student to learn every rule when driving. It is important to learn even just simply stopping at the stop sign or traffic stop, even when driving in the school zone it is important to follow the rules and obey the law when driving if there any pedestrians if they are on the road to cross safely while the driver stopped safely. For me, it helps to protect the students who are going to school or coming out of school as they could make a mistake and not look both ways this could cause problems as the motorist doesn’t follow the speed limit in the school zone. I learned that some countries have school zones but they don’t implement them as heavily as this country as this helps to train motorists to learn to slow down when they see a speed limit, motorist has to follow that rule and help themselves and other motorists to keep a steady speed when pedestrians cross the road.
As there are many rules to secure safety for other motorists a lot to learn as each state has different rules and regulations but it only takes a few actions to know and help you and others to ensure safety as this helps you learn and mesmerize yourself whenever driving as it is a privilege not a right for everyone as you could lose said privilege as you act or driving intoxicated which could or always land you in trouble with the law. We can’t always educate or help others as everyone drives differently but helping yourself helps you to teach yourself and your training that you can drive safely for yourself and other motorists on the road or anywhere else.
