“Driving
Safely: The importance of being an educated driver.”

Driving
behind the wheel blossoms into a bigger responsibility when you
become educated about the importance of safety. Driving can be
frightening to some who are just beginning, however, with the right
education, fear will dwell down and safety will rise up.

Those
who have lost their lives due to accidents has gone up massively in
the last several years. Alcohol, handling a cellular device and
speeding are the major causes of an unfortunate amount of fatalities.
A majority of these fatality causes have laws behind them however,
they are not always successful. Although cellular devices are coming
out with programs to reduce use behind the wheel, there is still a
simple way to get around it. New programs should be produced in order
to prevent as little as interaction with the screen when driving a
vehicle. The ability to access these distractions should be more
difficult in order to receive the results future generations are
looking for that involve safe driving. Speeding is a more complicated
situation to record, although many people get tickets or even jail
time for violating this law, there is still no way to catch everyone
and unfortunately this will always result in lives lost. Coming
together as a community and enforcing these laws even harder will
eventually reduce these numbers drastically.

In
my life, I have been in a non-threatening accident as a child in the
car with my mother. Fortunately, we were perfectly safe after being
rear ended from a driver who failed to use their signal while
steering into our lane. This driver, before hitting us, was rushing
across lanes trying to get ahead of everyone on the road. As a
driver, I have been operating a vehicle for the past two years and
thankfully have not been in an accident. Being constantly attentive
(thanks to the teaching of my mother) has taught me to be a safe
driver for myself, and those around me. Family and friends that are
connected directly to me don’t drive recklessly or carelessly due
to me determining to push safe driving as much as possible.

Continuing
to stay aware will bring me success for safe driving in the future.
Personally, I rarely use my cellular device when I am in the driver’s
seat. Always announcing to family and friends the status of my
presence before getting behind the wheel, reduces the usage of a
cellular device when being on the road. As well as constantly
identifying that my speed matches the limits in every area I am in.
As I educate those who are younger than me, I find that it is simple
to assist with safe driving. Expressing my own experiences with
others allows them to be able to prepare for what consequences could
happen when driving unsafely. Communication is also a quick and easy
way to prepare future generations to make the world a safer, better
place. Preventing is always simpler than repairing a consequence.
