Safe
Driving

I
believe that drivers ed is something that will help allow every
driver to fully realize the importance of safe driving procedures.
These classes show drivers how they can improve their driving skills
by staying attentive to their surroundings and practicing safe
driving techniques such as wearing seat belts and allowing a
considerable distance between your car and others on the road. In
fact several studies on drivers ed have shown that drivers that
have not taken drivers ed classes have a significantly higher
risk of receiving a traffic ticket or having an accident –
including fatal accidents.

Reducing
driving deaths is a big issue in today’s world. Over ninety people
die from automobile accidents everyday in the United States. Learning
about how to protect yourself from an accident can help you avoid
future fatal automobile accidents. Learning about safety statics on
deaths caused by distracted driving, drunk driving, and not wearing a
seat belt can also help reduce fatal accidents by showing drivers the
seriousness of these sometimes harmless seeming things. Drivers will
learn that one glance at their phone while driving could cause
serious damage to themselves and others. This type of education will
reduce fatal accidents by informing the public of the importance of
safe driving and how to drive safely.

Although
I have never had a person experience involving an automobile
accident, the prevalence of accidents on the road encourage us to
practice safe driving everyday. There are a variety of techniques you
can practice to stay safe on the road. Some of the easiest ways to
stay safe are to concentrate on the road, going the speed limit,
wearing your seat belt, and not consuming alcohol before or during
driving. Some others ways to reduce the risk of an accident are
paying attention to other drivers, keeping several car lengths
between your car and the car in front of you, using proper signals
when driving, and avoiding driving while drowsy.
