Describe your service learning project in detail. Did you join an existing project or create it yourself? What was the focus of your project?

The service learning project I joined was about the awareness of the ocean and how much pollution there was. The focus of this project was to go to Venice Beach and clean up any trash that was on the ground on the beach.

How did you prepare for your service learning project?

I was buying plastic bags just in case theyre not provided at the beach during the cleaning. I made sure what time I had to get there

How did your project serve the community or help others?

The way that the project help the community is that it reminded other that our beaches are filthy and our trash is killing the earth

What skills or knowledge did you gain as a result of this project?

Throughout the project, I learned that the beaches are filthy and our planet is in danger and we wont live long enough on this planet if we keep this up.

Community Partners: Who did you partner with the community? How did you collaborate together?

I partnered with CDAGS Seniors and we came up with a date to go to Venice beach and pick up any trash

What might be the lasting impact of your project (either on you or who you served)?

My lasting impact is that I will hold on to my trash instead of throwing it to the ground
